Baby bloomers

Is there honestly anything cuter than a mini bum in bloomers?! Not in my opinion. So for a little kiwi-frenchie girl from the other side of the globe, I went foraging through the stash and got out these two spring-themed lightweight cottons bought a while back in a lovely haberdashery in Frinton-on-Sea. Perfect.
This is the easiest pattern in the world: one front, one back, three pieces of elastic, and you're done. My thing at the moment is "simple, but well finished", so I opted for French seams to keep everything tidy and soft inside. And there you have it, two mini bloomers on their way to HK. I found the pattern in a book but there are loads lurking around the net if you fancy giving this a try.
Close up of the French seams, or "coutures anglaises" (English seams) as we call them in French!
Adios, monkey friends!
